Rustic Fig, Burrata, and Prosciutto Salad with Honey and Chili Balsamic Dressing
Ingredients
- 8 cups arugula (about 1 bag)
- 1/2 large Heirloom tomato thinly sliced
- 3 to 4 ripe, yet still firm, figs thinly sliced
- 1 large burrata ball, or 4 small burrata balls
- 2 to 3 slices prosciutto pulled apart
- 1/4 cup walnut chopped
- Freshly grounded black pepper to taste
Dressing
- 2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar of Modena
- 1 1/2 teaspoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Instructions
For the dressing:
- Add all the ingredients to a small bowl or mason jar with a lid, and whisk or shake until combined. Put to the side, and shake again before using.
For the salad:
- Toss the bag of arugula into a large bowl. Add the tomato and fig slices.
- Add the burrata. If you're using one large burrata ball, divide the ball into smaller pieces and scatter them over the salad. If you're using 4 burrata balls, divide each burrata ball in half and spread the halves over the salad.
- Add the prosciutto slices and walnuts to the salad. Top with cracked pepper.
- Add the salad dressing before serving.
