Bored of basic oatmeal? Make our InstantPot Steel Cut Oats and take a departure from boring oatmeal and try our favorite toppings instead! You’ll never look at oatmeal the same way.
This is the easiest Instantpot Steel Cut Oat recipe ever. You need an Insantpot and 1 cup of steel cut oats and 4 cups of water. Plop the oatmeal and water into instant pot. Set high for 5 min and let it rest for 10 min, then quick release. Done! That’s it.
Whip up one of our favorite toppings below for a healthy and perfect breakfast.
For this post, we’ve featured berries, figs and pistachios, pears and caramels, and strawberries and coconuts.
1. Very berry cream with walnuts toppings
For something classic, you can’t go wrong with strawberries and blueberries and cream. Add some pecans or walnuts and a pinch of flax seed, and you’ve just made yourself a healthy breakfast.
2. Fig, Honey and Pistachio
Next up, this pairing photographed above includes ripe figs, pistachios, and honey. Add a dollop of honey for some extra protein!
3. Autumn Caramel Pear with Cinnamon
Below, we’ve got caramel, cinnamon, pears, and a touch of salt. Slice up pears, top with caramel, salt, and cinnamon.
4. Coconuts & Strawberry’n Cream
Now, my favorite: strawberry, coconut, and cream.
When the weather gets cool, but you’re craving a bit of sunshine and warmth, this Strawberry and Coconut Oatmeal is the perfect topping for our dish. It’s sweet, summery, and tropical and pairs perfectly with oatmeal and cream. No sugar and just 3 ingredients: strawberries, lemon, and honey! Mix a cup of chopped strawberries with 2 tablespoons of honey, and the juice from one lemon. Smash the strawberries with a fork or a whisk and let sit for a few minutes before using. Easy!
